DIAMOND

Helen became interested in dog training when her new puppy, Barlie came along. She started to think long and hard about how she could make his life the best it could be. She decided to begin trick training and obedience classes. She found that her puppy seemed exceptionally settled, content and fulfilled.
Over the years she discovered a myriad of different ways to enhance a dogs life from enrichment feeding, to play, fun training games to scentwork.
Helen started her dog walking business, Happy Hounds Dog Services in 2017.  She likes to augment the dogs walks by adding in plenty of fun training games and activities along the way.

In her spare time, Kathryn enjoys sea swimming, kayaking and spending time out in nature with her dogs  Phoebe, Martha and Niamh.
Kathryn has been running  her own business for twenty years -Bramber Bears, creating one of a kind, collectable teddy bears and soft sculpture animals.

Our Story...

We met at dog training classes in 2014 where we quickly formed a friendship due to the fact that both of our dogs were finding the environment somewhat overwhelming.

We provided support and encouragement for each other and and secured ourselves a safe space for our dogs so that they could enjoy their learning experience.
We learnt a lot about our dogs and ourselves during this time and found that we enjoyed helping others to support their dogs.

Fast forward ten years and we have since studied with The School Of Canine Science, The Institute Of Modern Dog Trainers and The Dog Training College.
We have sourced knowledge and information from a wide variety of dog trainers so that we can offer the most up to date, ethical and kind training classes that are both fun and enriching for dog and human alike!

We are committed to expanding our knowledge in the ever evolving world of dog training!

What happens if my dog gets it wrong?

We never punish dogs for getting it 'wrong'. We show you, in a kind a positive way how to effectively reward behaviour that you would like to see repeated. We will show you many ways in which you can set your dog up for success so that they can experience errorless learning as much as possible. By doing this you can both be more efficient in achieving your goals.

Can I bring my children to classes?

We love to meet the rest of your family! Understanding how your home life is set up helps us to help you get the most out of classes.
We recommend however, that only two people attend so that you can be sure to give your dog the attention that he deserves.
Children will need to be supervised throughout.
